"Oh how I wish again...

...I was in Michigan." - Brad and I's theme song in life.

Miles and I made it safetly to the States and it feels goood to to be home. So far, I've spent way too much money at Wal Mart and eaten out way too many times at Arby's. Now, I get to do it all over again when Brad gets here next week.
I haven't been able to get on the internet much, so this explains the lack of blogging. But, I gotta say it's kinda nice to take a break from it all. Sometimes technology can be draining. I am loving the Mayberry feeling of this place. Here are some pics of our trip this first week.

Leave it to my Dad to put a fake squirrel on the porch. I thought this pic was hilarious.
We found an amazing petting zoo nearby. Miles loved feeding all the animals until a pony bit his hand a little too hard. We'll see if he forgets about it next week.
Ok, so you know what's great about this pic? My mom and I bought tickets to ride this stupid train thinking ALL the other parents would do the same. We obviously don't fit when we tried to sit down. (I still have bruises on my knees). The train starts moving and every single parent starts walking along side this train that is moving 1 mph. I could have walked on my hands faster than this train was moving. But, we sucked it up and stuck through the ride. Next time, we will not buy tickets for this child's ride.

Sadly, this picture is not the sunset. It is the sunrise. I was "fortunate" enough to be woken up the first 4 mornings to watch it. It is beautiful though!

If Miles could have a top 5 of Michigan, I'm positive that swimming in Bass Lake would make it on that list. He really enjoys participating in the "big kids" activities.

Miles gets a hair cut on the dock. I am going to try and brave a real haircut at Wal Mart before we leave. If I can quote my SIL, I plan to "throw them $20 at the end and never walk in that salon again." Miles does not do well with haircuts. Luckily feeding the fish distracted him long enough for a few snips.
